Our Mission
The Animal Coalition of Tahoe (ACT) is dedicated to improving the wellbeing of companion animals and supporting community members in financial need across South Lake Tahoe. Through our Pet Pantry program and local partnerships, we provide continuous, barrier-free access to quality pet food so that no pet goes hungry and no owner has to sacrifice their own nutritional needs to care for their companion animals

Pet Food Pantry
A dependable, barrier-free source of quality wet and dry pet food for individuals in financial need, ensuring companion animals remain fed and easing the nutritional burdens of their guardians.

Spay & Neuter
ACT's foundational service established in 2011, providing no-cost or low-cost spay and neuter procedures—having successfully supported over 2,100 dogs and cats in the community.

Community Partnerships
Collaborative initiatives working alongside Christmas Cheer and other area animal service providers to deliver long-term support and promote the overall wellbeing of Lake Tahoe's companion animals.
